This beautiful couple with their friends and family flew all the way from San Diego for their wedding. Counting on us as their event planners, they preferred an outdoor ceremony at La Rogativa in Old San Juan, and their cocktail party and reception at Hotel El Convento, just steps away from the ceremony. With vibrant colors like orange, pink, a touch of red, yellow, blue, and white. Of course, Its Chezelle Events, Island Life Events, Akua Event Design, and other suppliers made their dream wedding come true.

We made sure every detail was as the bride requested and made sure everyone (guests and family) was comfortable. The ceremony started and everything was perfect and beautiful, just as they imagined. Once they were declared husband and wife, they danced all the way to the hotel for the Cocktail with Yuvi Plena and their dancers, they sang and laughed, and all the guests enjoyed every step of the way. All the tourists who were walking around Old San Juan joined in celebrating the newlywed couple.

The guest enjoyed the cocktail while Diana Wedding Photography took pictures of the bride and groom. Once they were back, we revealed the reception just for them, and their reaction were awesome, we were truly happy with the results, and to see their reaction, it truly filled us with happiness! They filled the champagne tower, enjoyed a few drinks, and chatted with guest until dinner time came. As an event planner, we wanted to make sure every little detail was perfect.

The sister of the bride made the toast, and the waiters served the appetizers and food. We gave them their space but made sure everything ran smoothly. Sean and Rachel constantly told us that everything was perfect and that they were completely pleased.

The past February 22nd, we had the pleasure to work with Melissa & Allison who came from the United States. Melissa called us, and we helped her find the perfect secret spot by the beach on Contra Viento y Marea in Piñones.

The big day arrived, we set up a table for two with the supplier Music Waves. It was all set, the perfect evening with the perfect meal from Contra Viento y Marea while admiring the beautiful background. The girls arrived, Melissa took Allison to the table, and they served them an appetizer with drinks they had already preordered, minutes later they were enjoying their dinner.

Meanwhile, on a secret spot just a few feet away from the table, we setup a picnic decoration with flower arrangements made by Veronica Gonzales. We did a boho themed picnic with cream colors and different types of pink. We also put up the “Marry Me?” sign from PR Foams with the beautiful sunset behind, it was the perfect spot for the big question. The time arrived and Melissa blindfolded Allison. Faviola escorted them to the secret spot, she guided them in front of the sign just in the middle of a heart shaped with petals on the sand.

The best part is that Verona Photography was capturing every moment with this couple. They sat at the picnic and exchanged gifts, laughed, and hugged. Then Verona took a couple of romantic pictures by the water with a beautiful rainbow behind. We made sure that the couple felt comfortable, and everything was fine. Finally, we gave them their space to enjoy the sweets and champagne that we offered them. It was the perfect proposal.

Event & Wedding Planner Puerto Rico

As an experienced event planner born and raised in Puerto Rico here are my top 5 venues in 2022 to plan your wedding in the Island of Enchantment.

Puerto Rico destination weddings are a popular bucket list item. This paradisaic island is very close to the US, bustling with great nightlife, great beaches and snorkeling spots, and amazing local eats. Sounds like paradise right? It has a wide variety of landscapes perfect for events; crystal clear beaches, lush mountainsides, rainforests & waterfalls, colonial ballrooms, and Spanish-style restaurants. The possibilities are endless!

As a party planner, I love this venue because it's right in the heart of Isla Verde, a popular neighborhood for tourism and good eats. This venue offers various ballroom options with stunning beach views. It has gardens, courtyards, and their staff is friendly and their in-house food is delicious.

The Mediterranean-inspired outdoor spots at Hacienda Don Carmelo offer a magical setting for any wedding. They have the cutest tree house, ideal for bride and groom pictures. The connection with nature is undeniable. It's located in the municipality of Vega Baja only a 35-44 minute drive from San Juan. This municipality has a seaside coastline, so you are still a few minutes away from the beach.

This non-profit in memory of one of Puerto Rico's most iconic political leader, offers beautiful outdoor spaces for ceremonies and pictures. It also provides a modern blanket canvas where you can bring in all your own vendors. They can acommodate both small and large groups. Its located in the municipality of Trujillo Alto, a 15 minute ride from the airport.

Yes, Airbnbs for your wedding! I like these for a few reasons first you can stay with your crew and spend the entire week or weekend enjoying the island. The second reason is that you can do whatever you want ( ja, ja, ja - almost anything) but you can set up and break down whenever you please. You can keep partying until dawn plus many of these properties have private beaches. This is also a budget-friendly option for micro and small weddings.

If you are looking for the best luxury venue on the island, look no further. This is a very special property with an amazing back story ( ask me!) There are only a few Reserve properties worldwide, so we feel very honored to have met the Ritz's brand's high standards. You can rent an entire condo with a diving pool and state-of-the-art amenities. You can do night snorkeling, play golf, take cooking classes, spend an evening with a sommelier and do so many other activities. Plus this property has the most beautiful landscaping I have ever seen in a resort. ( and I've traveled to over 25 countries) .

These are only a few of my personal favorites as a destination wedding planner in Puerto Rico. I could do a few more of these lists Venue scouting is one of my favorite things to do.
